To recognize reviewer contributions, JACS provides the following forms of acknowledgement:

2.1 Reviewer Certificate

A digital reviewer certificate can be issued upon request for each completed review, including:

  • reviewer name

  • journal name

  • year of review activity

  • official signature/stamp of the journal

2.2 Annual Acknowledgement List

JACS publishes an annual list of reviewers who contributed during the year (with permission), as part of the journal’s commitment to transparency and recognition.

2.3 Reviewer Excellence Recognition

Outstanding reviewers may be recognized based on:

  • number of completed reviews

  • quality of review reports

  • timeliness and responsiveness

Top reviewers may receive special recognition and priority consideration for:

  • editorial board membership

  • special issue reviewer invitations

  • journal certificates of excellence

3. Reviewer Confidentiality

While reviewers may be acknowledged in public lists, JACS maintains strict confidentiality regarding:

  • manuscript content

  • review comments

  • specific review assignments

  • reviewer identity linked to a specific article
